Every mother
deserves to be heard.

I believe that the way we are treated when we bring new life into the world stays with us forever. My mission is simple: to make sure that for you, those memories are defined by dignity, strength, and joy—not fear or confusion.

My path to becoming a midwife wasn't a straight line; it was a calling born out of seeing a gap that I knew I had to fill.

From Doula to Midwife.

For years, I worked as a doula, walking beside women in labor as a companion and advocate. But I remember one specific afternoon that changed my life. I was asked to leave a room because I wasn't "medical staff," even though the mother needed me more than ever in that moment.

That day, I realized that to truly protect and support women, I needed to be more. At age 40, I returned to the classroom to earn my Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery from the Mater Hospital. I didn't just want to support women through labor; I wanted to be the one to safely deliver their babies and ensure they were treated with the compassion they deserved.

Bringing World-Class Care Home.

My clinical foundation was built in Australia, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Honours) at Curtin University. This international training gave me a world-class perspective on healthcare standards, which I brought home to Kenya.

After years of clinical practice at institutions like Aga Khan University Hospital, I pursued a Master’s in Public Health (University of Liverpool) to understand the bigger picture of our healthcare system. I saw that while many healthcare workers are doing their best, they often lack the specialized training needed to support a mother’s breastfeeding journey—a gap I decided to fill personally.

Expert Support for Your Most Challenging Days.

I am currently the only Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in Kenya. This is the international "gold standard" in lactation care, representing over 1,000 hours of hands-on experience and rigorous medical examination.

Whether you are facing latching difficulties, pain, or the unique challenges of a NICU stay, I bring global medical standards to your bedside with the steady, compassionate hand of someone who has helped thousands of families find their rhythm.

A Commitment Beyond the Clinic.

I believe that a dignified birth experience shouldn’t be a luxury reserved for the few. My commitment to maternal and child health extends to my leadership in the community:

Chairperson, Care for a Child’s Heart (Supporting children with congenital heart disease).

Chairperson (2017-2025), Kenya Association for Breastfeeding.

Advisory Board Member, Maziwa Breastfeeding.

Let’s walk this
journey together.

Whether I am helping a mother in my private practice or advising a board of directors, my values remain the same. I am here to build a world where every birth is dignified, every mother is educated, and every baby gets the best possible start.
